High Frequency RFID Reader/Writer with LCD Display and Keypad
Toronto, Canada – GAO RFID Inc. (www.GAORFID.com) has announced the release of its 13.56MHz RFID reader/writer with an LCD screen and an integrated keypad. This RFID reader/writer utilizes advanced MIFARE and ISO 15693 contactless RFID technologies to enhance collection of information associated with RFID cardholders. The reader/writer is developed for RFID identification and associated data input such as end-user sales information at a POS. It features a 32-bit ARM processor, an embedded MODEM, RFID modules and an internal thermal printer.
This high frequency RFID reader/writer, model 233005B, has a maximum reading and writing distance of 8cm when working with ISO14443A compliant transponders. It operates at a baud rate of 19,200bps and supports type 1 smart cards and double SAM cards. This read/write unit allows data exchange via RS232 serial port and a standard POTs telephone line to a central computer. It is resistant to water and dust with an IP40 protection rating ensuring performance even in harsh environments.
